Past this a few times but never called in till Saturday 12th october its a Marsons tenancy nice clean pub had a good pint of Breakspear Pride of the river 4%. The best part of this pub was the entertainment from a customer lighting the coal fire.
There were about 5 or 6 telling him where he was going wrong lighting it. After 3 failed attempts he went out and came back with a jar of liquid poured it on the hot coals and wood there was blue smoke coming of the hot coals that had not caught a light but very hot he got a match was about a foot away and BOOM the liquid was petrol and the blue smoke were fumes there was a fall of soot and the pub was full of smoke the funnest thing i have seen for a long time i asked the customers was it a competition every Saturday lunch time in the winter. Will call back
