A large Georgian styled terraced pub and eatery in a cream and grey render with white sash windows and string-courses along with dormer windows
The interior has a café upstairs, with the ground floor given over to a mix of dining tables and blue patterned perimeter seats. The small serving bar faces you on entry. The décor sees mainly cream walls, with grey and a wood dado rail, with a white and wood ceiling and a blue patterned carpet. There is a stone fireplace feature and a pool table. A few mirrors (a nice Courage Best one) and some old local photographs adorn the walls. There was a TV, but it wasn’t on at my visit and the music was mixed and at a decent level. The service was fine and the clientele consisted of a few locals along with some holiday makers.
Beer; the usual tap stuff with Sharpe’s Doombar and a very good St Austell Tribute on handpull
A rather straight-forward place, in that the two real ales on are ubiquitous in the area, but saying that the Tribute was very good.

An good sized looking pub situated on the main street just down from the harbour. Inside it is perhaps a little disappointing, not really living up to what you might expect. In fact with it's blue carpet and blue bench seating, it reminds me more of a Conservative club than your average pub.
There's a large fan and some wood panelling on the ceiling giving a slightly colonial feel to the place. There's a plasma at one end and a fruit machine, with a quiz machine and pool table at the other. There seemed to be a few chavs in on a recent Saturday night visit.
Beers on tap were Courage Best and Doom Bar. Ciders were Strongbow and Weston's Scrumpy Supreme.
