Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cock Inn
Substantial food-led pub in a quiet hamlet. The original building has been much extended, mostly with a single-storey continuation along what passes for the main road. Various small seating and dining areas around the bar in the old (but refurbished) part with a smarter semi-traditional look to the larger restaurant. Just Doom Bar (£5.20) available from the three handpumps, but this was as good as this ordinary cask ale ever gets.

Nice little gastropub in the little village of Wishaw, well connected by country lanes and a short drive away from the Belfry and a few other golf courses. Excellent food, but do note pizzas etc. aren't available on Sundays as there is a reduced menu, though the customary roast is there. All food we had, including the roasts, was of high quality and service was also very good.
The interior is nicely done and warm, with a bar area to the left and a separated dining room to the right. Pricing is a bit dear but comparable to other gastropubs for the most part.
Would recommend but this is more of a family environment, and hence perfect for lunch with the family.

This is a detached pub and eatery in the hamlet of Over Green, with a patio area. The site is deeply historic, flanked by medieval moated sites, although the pub is likely 18th/early19th century in origin. It has grown over time, taking in a neighbouring building (likely the smithy and the stabling area). The early part of the pub lies adjacent to the car park. The building is irregular and dressed in white render. The interior has two destinct areas; a lounge and a restaurant. The restaurant is off to the right on entry. It has the a baronial look, with its open trussed roof, chandeliers and large fireplaces. It has some arty art and mirrors, as well as comfy seats, but i headed for the lounge area and the beer. The lounge is a U-shape around the serving bar, and off to the left on entry. Comfy seats, pouffes and cushions are the order of the day, along with a bottle display. The decor here is white and green mainly, and there is a TV, although this wasn't on. The music was general and at a decent level. The service was friendly and a few locals seemed to be in. Beer; usual tap stuff with Peroni and Kernow lagers. There are two handpulls, one had UBU, which had gone, the other War Lord IPA, which was well kept. All in all - more a foody place and too modern for me, but that is my personal taste. The beer was fine - try it, i would return.
