We travelled to Whitehaven from Southport in Merseyside to get married and enjoyed sandwiches provided at the Snecklifter(formerly known as The Central) afterwards. The pub has been refurbished and redecorated in the last three months and is now lovely and welcoming with a wood burning stove. There is a good selection of real ales with some of them being changed often. The staff are very friendly and they will be starting serving food regularly soon, I believe this will be along the lines of sandwiches and pie and mash which I think will fit in well with the pub's friendly and relaxed style. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back again
