They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder ! To me , not the most inspiring exterior , but more than made up for as the inside has a lot of original fittings etc. Chatting with one of the locals confirmed that one interior wall at the front of the bar had been removed at sometime which opened the pub out. Four hand pulls , one with a cider to go with beers from Attic,Birmingham Brewing and Sharp's Solar Wave which was enjoyable. Not overly busy on my visit but people were chatty. Not sure on the accuracy of the barometer but it said "changeable" which I could say sums up this summer so far.

Attractive pub in the heart of Moseley. Very impressive clock tower. Friendly service with 3 ales and a few craft beers on offer. The ales were Doom Bar, Landlord and Dark Star Hophead. We went for the latter which was excellent. Managed to grab one of the 2 tables on the street and spent a happy half hour watching the world go by. Well worth a visit. Hard to believe that The Smiths played a very early gig here back in 1983!

Cavernous pub - with an interesting barometer outside predicting the weather. Don't know if it works or not.
Inside, its a L shaped room with high benches and stools. Four cask on and the Tribute was in decent condition. Lots of choice in the area, but I wasn't disappointed with my visit.
