A prim and pretty food-based pub on the old by-pass road by St Stephen's church. The patio area at the front is small but perfectly-formed, with extensive floral displays including probably the most flowery smoking area anywhere. Inside is a very tidy large room, with neatly-arranged laid-up tables and a slightly suburban feel, with a further overflow dining room to the rear. Beers at time of visit included three typical Cornish beers and one from further afield and no complaints with condition. One to take your mother to rather than your mates, but perfectly pleasant.
