UPDATE: The right hand side of this pub goes by the name Clontarf Cafe. So where the pool table used to be is now set up as a cafe. Its connected to the Red Lion inside by a set of doors. No change to the pub name.

5/2/15:
Great old pub serving real ales. Beer terrace to the rear and some tables directly outside for a cracking view over the Dee to the Clwydian Hills. Right on the Parade so convenient for getting knocked over when coming out of the pub if you're not looking.

Nice old pub on Parkgate Parade with views over the estuary towards wales , built around 1822 it is very traditional inside with several rooms , outside there is a lovely old iron Walkers sign .
There are a few seats out front where the traffic passes very close.
Beer choie was limited to a few nationals , i had a Courage Best it was decent for what it was .
A nice traditional pub .
