Very much a wet led pub - with three rooms that are slightly down at heel. The one to the right of the bar does have the benefit of a fantastic real fire. And in December, a very small Xmas tree :-)

GBG regular and fully justified. There were 5-6 cask on. I was tempted by the Wobbly Bob, but 6% was a bit much as I was operating heavy machinery later in the day. Instead, it was a TT Landlord that was in absolutely perfect condition. You know the ones that seem thick, leaving deep lacings all down the glass.

Opening times seem confused on line. Google correctly saying midday on a Friday. "Visit Ulverston" saying 2pm.

Good for beer. And crisps.

solid, lively local with an impressive range of 7 ales on. Pretty traditional though basic interior and only a small pub so gets full quickly. I liked the atmosphere and it felt very much like a proper pub, my festive stout was sadly a bit past its best.

A decent pub for real ale and 6 of the 8 handpulls were clipped. A decent variety of beer styles were available. The pub is a bit sterile inside decor wise though. Still had perspex shields on the bar to protect staff from the unclean. Like most pubs in Ulverston it was nice enough.
