Alan Winfield left this review about O'Connor's
O'Conners is situated next to the open market.
Once inside there is a single wedged shaped room with the bar facing, there is very worn bench seating around the edge of the room and a pool table in the middle, the room is bare boarded.
No real ales on the bar so it was a half of John Smiths smooth crap which it was,why do halfs of this crap always seem to look larger than a decent half of beer.
The pub was fairly busy with a mixed bunch on my Saturday dinner visit.
Not really my sort of pub.

Originally the Ordnance Arms (reflecting its proximity to the Royal Arsenal), this stereotypical Irish bar is situated round the back of Woolwich Market. The pub is quite awkwardly wedge shaped on a corner between two roads.
Internally there isn’t a great deal of interest with the pool table taking up much of the bar’s floor space and a cluster of tables around the edges. Everything is quite basic and the pub exudes little charm or character beyond the usual faceless plastic pseudo Irishness that can be found in similar theme bars around the country.
No Real Ales, just the usual standard kegs, lagers, Guinness etc. Prices are quite cheap with my Ruddles Smooth (not my usual tipple by any stretch) clocking up at £2.35 a pint. I didn’t note anything foodwise (we were in the last throes of a lengthy session) and the custonme base appeared to be the usual laddish football watching elements but nothing intimidating or threateneing.
We didn’t stay beyond the single pint and in summary this is a very formulaic, seen one seen ‘em all kind of place that isn’t worth the effort to visit beyond a quick pint on a crawl although, to be fair, I have come across worse places in Woolwich than this. Just.

E TA left this review about O'Connor's
I saw O'Connors by chance and thought I'd try it despite its outward appearance and dodgy looking smoke-breathing door guardians. Inside I found a small, wedge-shaped bar, bare floor, scabby-looking with torn seats (some held together with duct tape). A large TV screen was showing football, a pool table provided entertainment and there were a number of gaming machines standing idle which occasionally reminded us of their presence by beeping randomly. There was no real ale, but thirsty beggars can't be choosers, so I stayed for a pint of megakeg. The staff and locals were very friendly - this is a good, down-to-Earth back street boozer, a small piece of 20th Century England remaining in a busy multicultural area. I don't see my returning deliberately due to the lack of decent beer, but I hope this pub stays around a long time.
