Strongers . left this review about Montgomery's Tower (JD Wetherspoon)
Montgomery's Tower is a large Lloyds No. 1 with a whirly red carpet throughout. In the right side there’s lots of open plan seating that is faced by a long serving counter across the rear that was closed during a recent midweek early evening visit. Another bar is found to the left with split level seating and a left facing counter that supports standard and premium keg alongside seven hand pumps that were drawing Adnams Ghost Ship, Stone Henge Ales’ Pigswill, Beartown’s Kahuna, Salcombe Brewery’s Shingle Bay and the usual three of Doom Bar, Ruddles Best and Abbot. There were more cask options on the other right-hand counter, but these were unavailable due to it being unmanned. The service was actually quick and polite, but the atmosphere was awful with entitled benefit street families with crying babies, pissheads and just losers in general, I assumed my visit coincided with giro day. This is a poor Spoons.

Brainy Pool left this review about Montgomery's Tower (Lloyds No 1)
I completely missed this at first as the building is dominated by a gym and the pub entrance completely anonymous. We came here for breakfast which was above average but later on the place was a nightmare with harassed staff and various shrieking hen party groups driving me to insanity. At quiet times it’s an acceptable anonymous Lloyds.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Montgomery's Tower (Lloyds No 1)
Run-of-the-mill Lloyds No 1 located under a gym in a plain curved building. Plain, semi-modern furniture and décor in the various seating / dining areas around the slightly awkward arrangement of two separate bar counters (only one of which is in daily use). Greene King IPA, Doom Bar and Abbot plus Otter Dark, Ludlow Blonde, Loch Gill Anderson Irish Red (£2.49) and Lost Abbey's Bingo Lady available from the six operational handpumps on this visit.
