A fine looking street corner pub with three external doors,but the interior has been opened out into a large space with a central island bar .Flatscreens will domiate when matches are on,with the volume turned up.However post match this was replaced by R&B dirge,not sure which was worse !
Features inside include a marble fireplace,the apex entrance is quite grand and pump clips are attached to an entrance column so you can see whats on before entering.On my trip that meant London Pride and TT Landlord (decent,NBSS 3.5).Kegs are mainstream ,pub grub mains £16-19,daily specials £16 and the exterior benches were popular in the good weather with a large group of old lags who I took to be the regulars.
With so many local pubs lost over the years and the lack of real ale in many surviving pubs,this boozer stood out as worth visiting if in the area.

A good-looking corner pub with some splendid Truman's lanterns outside, but sadly the interior has been knocked out and painted green so has limited appeal. The most noteworthy things are some massive lamps and an equally large eagle over the island counter. Good atmosphere though. London Pride and TT Landlord were on the handpumps, except they had both run dry much to the dismay of the rather lovely barmaid who gave up trying to pull froth through and, in fairness, did offer to get them changed, but time dictated reverting to Guinness again.

As Tris remarked below, a commanding corner pub with windows on Ladbroke Grove and Telford Rd. Felt a bit like a locals pub from my vantage point perched on a high stool at the bar. There was London Pride and Landlord during my visit earlier this evening plus a significant array of beers on shiny taps. Opted for a pint of Guinness as saw quite a few other punters quaffing the black stuff on my arrival suggesting I am easily led. Nothing wrong with this place but it just didn’t have the X factor for me hence the beige rating.
