The Albert is a Beefeater pub adjacent to a Premier Inn so the large dining area in the right-hand side of the pub is aimed at hotel guests. The breakfast I had in here on a recent Friday morning was excellent. In the left-hand side of the pub is an L-shaped bar that supports a standard keg range and two hand pumps that were both drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar. Unfortunately, my pint in here on the Thursday night was not as pleasant as the breakfast. I had to apologise to my overseas work colleagues for the rude and confrontational behaviour of the bar manager. I’ll not be using this pub or hotel again, which is no fault of the hotel. If this site was for reviewing restaurants I would have given a seven.
