A nice looking pub with a rough hewn stone exterior enhanced by hanging baskets in spectacular bloom. Inside an overwhelming smell of fried food - it was the lunch break of the cricket match at the nearby school - almost turned me around before reaching the bar. The five hand pumps had all local beers, and at a quieter time I might have lingered admiringly over them, but in the circumstances a quick retreat to an outside table was called for.
