The old Leeds Hotel is now Wilsons, a large single room with two entrances that obviously used to be 2 rooms. The long bar now extends down through the two old rooms. Styling itself as an alehouse, the range was a bit limited on our visit, probably due to Covid and the reduced clientele. There were only 4 others in on a Monday afternoon. My pint was in good nick and Ms CAMRA liked the wine. There's an upstairs, outside terrace which will be a real suntrap during the Summer. We'll certainly call in again.

Old pub on a steep back street, it’s roughly straight shaped with wider areas. 8 pulls with Bradfield, Pennine and a couple of big IPAs from Black Hole and another. Comfortable seating plus not so comfortable, lots of screens and decently kept beer as befits a long term GBG pub. Fishing boat pictures as decor otherwise pretty bland.

A pretty awful experience to be honest.

We thought we would have a Ruddles, which, after the chap poured off a few pints into a dog bowl, still tasted pretty poor. Indeed, a group of around 12 walkers did more walking to and from the bar, returning bad pints, than on their 20 mile ramble!

Amazingly, there were three regulars up the bar, all of which still appeared to be alive

i do hope it gets better
