We have been visiting this pub on and off for around 40 years, and were interested to see the latest makeover. It is a bit modern for our taste, but well done. Fortunately, there does not appear to be a flat screen television anywhere. Greene King IPA and Ruddles Best on draught. Prices are what you would expect. We will visit again.

I would like to make customers aware of this pub and management. I understand it is going through new management but my comments are made regarding a few weeks ago and they may have changed (hopefully). My daughter and her family went into this pub for a Sunday lunch. They were looking forward to it but were sadly disappointed. They were left for over an hour waiting to be seated even though they were told it would take max of 45mins. Finally my daughter caught the young waitresses eye and was led to a tiny table (seating 2) even though there were 4 of them. They were again left with no offer to get drinks for another 20mins before my daughter noticed a customer who had just come in and was being served. Management was disgraceful!!!!
