The Bridge Inn was refurbished about 2011 and in 2012 the place won Catering in Scotland's Pub Excellence Award 2012 - their "Pub of the Year". They were also featured in Shortlist Magazine's Top 50 Gastro pubs in the UK. There is an ever changing amount of Guest Ales such as Tight Head from Inveralmond Brewery 3.8%, Fireside from Arran Brewery 4.7%, Young Pretender from Isle of Skye Brewing company 4% and regular ones such as ones from the Arran Brewery, Fyne Ales from Loch Fyne, the Scottish Borders Brewery and many more. There are over 25 different types of whisky to try ranging in prices from Ardmore at £2.60 to Old Pulteney Cask at £7.95. There is also a Whisky of the month, which usually comes it a cheaper price when not monthly. There is also a Whisky Club with their next meeting on 31st May. There is food available in the restaurant with opening times: Monday - Friday: 12pm - 3pm; 5pm - 9pm, Saturday 12pm - 9.30pm (last bookings 9pm) & Sunday: 12pm - 9pm. Breakfast is served from 9am daily - last orders 11.30am. Still talking about food, a unique part of the Bridge Inn business is their restaurant barge, which has been a regular sight on the Union Canal for over 30 years. The barge has a full kitchen team on board serving lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. The regular weekend cruises sail along the Union Canal to the Almondell Aqueduct over the River Almond where you can admire the views before returning by barge to the Bridge Inn. http://www.bridgeinn.com/media/3947/Ts%20and%20Cs%20-%20Barges.pdf. There is plenty of parking to the left of the pub. PHEW!
