Greene King pub with two guest beers from local Stancill and Bradfield, with two of their own beers, the IPA which is always on, plus a seasonal beer, in this case Rocking Rudolf. My halves of Ginger Pale and Belgian Blue were carefully poured, and in the case of the one that hadn't previously been poured, pulled through and tasted as well, which was appreciated. The ginger was good, the blue a little below that quality. This is a smallish cottage pub with original rooms preserved, and a dining room and toilets extension. The bar counter is blue-grey painted rough timber with a varnished top, the flag stone floor is a modern replacement and the background music is equally artificial. Trying to get myself into the head space of people who live locally and wondering if I would call in regularly. Still wondering.

The Acorn Inn is a nice looking pub that is at the top of burncross road.
Once inside the pub was quite nice with a country feel to it,the bar was facing and the room had a stone floor, there was a dining area to the right, the seating was mainly bench type with small stools, the bar looked a bit different has it was made with wood.
The pub is a Greene King house but not signed outside, there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Gk Old Golden Hen which was a very nice drink, the other beers were Gk Old Speckled Hen and GK IPA.
The pub had a nice atmosphere and it was fairly busy,i quite liked this pub.
