Bucking Fastard left this review about Lodge
After several years of standing empty, the building now houses a cocktail bar and offers keg beer but no real ale.The interior has been completely stripped out, there is modern seating around the edges and a large void in the centre,no doubt used for some form of dancing when the mixing turntables are in use by DJ's.There may be a cellar bar but I didn't investigate that far.Muzak was blaring out ,and everybody inside seemed to be shouting to be heard,or maybe that how the young customers communicate these days.
The small bar in one corner has a lot of staff shaking cocktails, while six wall mounted keg taps offer the usual crap, the best option seemingly Meantime London Pale Ale,cold ,fizzy, tasteless and £2.50 the half !Cocktails all seem to be priced at £8.
There is a lot of seating to the front of the building and along the side alley .The bar was busy on my Saturday evening visit.I dont like using perjorative terms, but apart from my good self the customers were exclusively chavs with more money than sense.

Alan Winfield left this review about Wine Lodge
The Wine Lodge is in the town centre and it looks a bit different from the outside.
This is a smallish pub and there was one room which was quite a nice room to have a drink in,this pub is a McMullens tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was McMullens AK bitter and this was a decent drink.
