Now called Lola Lo, a Hawaiian themed bar that reeks of coconut oil and popcorn. Instead of views of golden beaches and pristine blue seas you can look over the canal to the main road. No real ale.

A massive bar under 2 arches of Deansgate Locks. It's a totally generic bar with very little in the way of interesting features. It's near neighbour Missoula does it much better. The outside area was totally rammed yesterday as it's a bit of a sun trap. This bar is open very late at weekends. There are 2 handpumps but neither were clipped so I had a half of something fizzy. It was catering to the late teen and twenty somethings, so it's not really aimed at the likes of me.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Pitcher & Piano

Interesting location - shared with several other bars - under two arches of the Metrolink viaduct and beside the Rochdale Canal at Deansgate Locks. The entrance leads to the middle of three levels, with a small mezzanine above and a full-sized section near the water below. Two handpumps - both with EPA clips. Overall, whilst the decor is the usual dull stuff, this remains a quite a good example of making good use of an unusual space..
