Although this place was absolutely deserted when I was here last week, I quite liked it. Or perhaps that last sentence should begin with the word "because". It's hard to judge in the absence of paying customers, but this looks like a circuit bar to me, designed as it appears to have been with vertical drinking in mind.
Two hand pumps offered Abbeydale Deception and Farmers Blonde from Bradfield. Neither beer is to my taste, but will suit a lot of drinkers to a T.
