More of a restaurant than a pub, I arrived here on a Thursday evening before the dinner service and found it was busy with quite a few workmen congregating in or near the bar area for a post-work drink. It wasn't the type of clientele I had expected to see there, but proved that the pub clearly has a good drinking fraternity in addition to a reputation for good food. A Mother's Day set menu was prominently advertised.

There are a number of different sections, all nicely decorated. Music was playing creating a relaxed atmosphere.

Beers are fetched from a back room. When I arrived, Green Jack Gone Fishing & Orange Wheat Beer were on. By the time I departed, their Golden Best had also been added to the list. Weston's Old Rosie was the cider, with Inch's & Old Mout being the draught cider options.
