This is a large pub with a restaurant extension to the left of the original building. According to the web site, the bar area was refurbished in 2005. It is in a traditional pub style, with lots of space, but it somehow feels manufactured, corporate and lacking in character and warmth. The landlord/barman was friendly and welcoming. Adnams Bitter at £3.10, Broadside and Ghost Ship were available on draught, with three other pumps turned round. Pleasant, but we will probably not visit again, as there are other pubs we prefer not far away.
