A particularly awful Hungry Horse full of the brainless unemployable morons and their feral children; the latter hogged the pool table and made far too much wordless screeching – the pub certainly was a row den so is well named. The single large bar area is all tables, while there is a scruffy outside seating area at the front. The indolent yoof behind the bar tried to be my best mate but failed at every level. We risked eating, but our first choices of menu items were not available, leaving only ‘cheesy chips’ as a viable option. This took 30 minutes to arrive, and consisted of cold chips with a cold slab of plastic cheddar semi-melted on the top. We were told to get our own cutlery. Two ales on draft, GK IPA and Abbott, both in poor condition. Keg options were Thatchers Gold, Peroni, San Miguel, Stella, Moretti and Carling. On leaving, we found one of our bikes had been kicked, causing minor damage. We shan’t be back.

Listed in yell.com as Hungry Horse, Rowden Arms. Had a very nice meal there. Real ale on sale but I had a Guinness. Serves a very small dessert for under a £1.00, so small that even one of the staff wasn't sure what it was until the manager told her.
