So many Pubs have lighting that is so dim that you have to get right under a bulb to be able to read their Menu/Drinks List. This maybe the proprietor attempting to create an intimate atmosphere but,in many cases it just hides a dirty and unkempt interior. This is certainly not the case in this establishment. It is very well lit and spotlessly clean. Everything looks as if was only just polished minutes ago.
There is a good sized car park and an access for disabled customers through a side door. The main entrance is via three quite high steps. The pub also has a very attractive Beer Garden.
Theaksons was the only draught beer that I noticed but, being a "Free House", there must be other brews available.
We arrived just after they had finished serving the evening meal (9 pm) but looking at the Menu there is a good selection of food to choose from and the prices are very competitive. Friends who have dined here have enjoyed their meals and it has a good reputation locally.
In brief,it is a very pleasant Pub in a very nice location.
