Blue Scrumpy left this review about Angel Inn
This is an old coaching inn, claiming to be one of the oldest pubs in the country.
Now, it is more of a restaurant than a pub. There are plenty of tables in a number of different areas. However, it was so busy that I had to wait 5 minutes for one to become free, even though it was almost 8:30pm in the evening.
I think I was the only person in the place who was only having a drink. As a Greene King pub, the ale range was fairly uninspiring, albeit the largest ale range in the village - Greene King Abbot & Angel Best Bitter, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Black Sheep Best Bitter.
The car park is approached through an archway at the side of the pub. It was absolutely packed. There is also a garden area at the rear.
Service was friendly and I was at least grateful that they'd managed to find me a table, despite only being there for a swift half.
