Never have I seen a pub so tokenly refurbished it's actually laughable - two tone grey and white, like drinking in a mental asylum - a great location utterly wasted. Outside there’s some basic seating overlooking the lock. Plus points; the token ale of Wye Valley Butty was actually fairly good (NBSS 3 – though the glass smelt of dog) and the barmaid professional and pleasant. But honestly, this should be a honey pot but currently it's the bottom of the urinal.

This is one of the best riverside pubs we have visited. Food is excellent, as are the beers. Old Rosie is on the pump for all real cider lovers. The bar staff are very friendly and helpful....all in all a great place to eat and drink!
