Had a really delicious meal with my partner and child (who ate free). The food was fresh (beer battered cod and spare ribs with proper chips and mushy peas). The children's food was not your usual mush but proper food well prepared. The service was very friendly and efficient and we'd have stayed the night there had they done accommodation which apparently will be available in 2011. The beer was also excelent.

Busy little pub, nice inside, staff friendly. Starter was very nice beer battered mushrooms with dip. Main meal was nice but was let down by serving tinned new potatoes with the meal. Would eat here again but please next time serve fresh new potatoes instead of tinned.
