Strongers . left this review about The Beer House
The Beer House is quite a prominent feature of Victoria Station even though it’s located in a corner at the far end of the gates. Inside is a large sparsely furnished open plan high-ceilinged room with a tiled floor throughout and a large dome in the ceiling ahead of the entrance that is faced by the serving counter across the rear wall. Premium keg was available alongside Neck Oil and Sharp’s Sea Fury that was being drawn from the only hand pump that was in operation out of four. During a recent Tuesday afternoon visit I was the only customer as BBC News and the train departures were shown on a couple of muted televisions. The service was polite, but this place is only being used for a quick pint or half when there’s not enough time to go somewhere a little more interesting.

Four pumps, with three in use serving GK IPA, GK Yardbird and Doombar. I went for a half of Yardbird, which was in good nick, whilst Mrs A went for a half of Peroni, both came to a staggering £5.70. The upside is the impressive interior, which is worth a visit alone.

Called in yesterday after getting off my train at Victoria station, but was that uninspired by the real ale selection I decided not to bother. Last time I was in here was a few years ago and I remember it being very expensive, so I probably had a lucky escape.
