A former coaching inn dating originally from the 16th Century, now a really decent town pub. There is a large bar at the front and a separate dining area at the back. The two areas are separated by a paved garden in the former courtyard. As well as basic pub grub they offer a decent cooked breakfast. The décor is eccentric, and there is a collection of different lampshades in the bar. When we visited the toilets weren’t working. The atmosphere in the bar was lively, and the staff were welcoming. Ales on were Adnams Ghost Ship, Doomnbar and Rebellion’s Zebedee, all in very good condition. I’d be very happy to come back here for a few beers.

A former coaching inn located on Princes Risborough's attractive High Street in full swing on a Friday night visit with a live band in session. The small servery is located to the left and offered just Doom Bar on the ale front. There's usually ample seating opposite the bar where the band were ensconced and there's also seating up a couple of steps to the bar's right which is normally used for dining.
