Brew Guru left this review about The Fortescue Arms
The Fortescue is a village centre pub in this off the beaten track location deep in rural South Devon. Entering by the front door there is a bar area on the left and a more formal dining area on the right. The bar has three handpulls which were dispensing Doom Bar, Dartmoor Legend and RCH pitchfork which was in excellent condition. The bar got fairly busy during the lunchtime session on a bank holiday with visitors and locals alike. The open fire added some much needed warmth on a cold wet day. The welcome and attention received from the landlord and his staff was equally warming. From what I could see the food looked good, if a little pricey which is more a sign of the times I'm afraid.
