A nice looking pub beside a bridge over the Pickering Beck, very modern inside and 3 pulls tucked away in the return of the L shaped counter. These are not immediately visible but the friendly barman spotted the disappointed look on our faces and pointed to the pulls. The beers were a Helmsley in decent condition with a choice of Black Sheep Bitter and Tetleys if preferred. Family friendly and youth popular, none the less it's one of the better places in a fairly mundane town.

We had an excellent pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord sat in the beer garden, watching the ducks on Pickering Beck. The whole place seemed a bit run down though and was not the lively happy vibrant pub I remember from years ago.
