I approached this place with trepidation on seeing bouncers on the door and having experienced the not so friendly bouncers at the Leyland Lion.
However, the guys here were much more friendly and chatty. They were also taking people's details for track and trace.
Sport was on the TVs and music was fairly loud. It was mainly a young crowd drinking lager and shots. But there were some older clientele and the pub now has 2 real ales. Thwaite's Wainwright is the regular beer. I tried the guest, which was Bank Top Bad To The Bone.
Not a bad finish to my Saturday evening in Leyland and being seated indoors gave me a chance to warm up, on what was a very chilly late summer day.

Pub opposite an enormoTesco. Open plan with only one cask ale available. Very much a locals local with horse racing aficionados in. Its pleasant enough.

The King George has had a name change and is now called Barristers. The pub reopened early October after a £750,000 makeover, and must admit it is an excellent conversion. There is a disco room and also a piano,it also offers 8 cask ales as well as 6 different lagers.I sampled a pint of the Blonde Witch on my lunchtime visit which was very palatable.Definitely worth a visit even if it's just to check the supurb interior.
