Backstreet but surprisingly large and surprisingly busy for the of day. Traditional heritage interior (***) with a sympathetic modern makeover - still plenty of wood in its natural state and very easy to settle in. As mentioned below, there are a number of rooms though I didn’t do much exploring as I needed to hang onto my prime table during the bustling late lunchtime session. Six ales on pump with what looked like another four also on via other means. My Burton Bridge Porter was most excellent (NBSS 4.5) and the presence of Everards appears to show that it continues to be a Project William pub. My favourite in Beeston on that day’s showing and I toyed with stopping for a second; now I’m only a short train ride away I decided I would simply call again soon so I could keep ticking virgin territory. Make sure you do this one. 9.5

A nice multi roomed traditional pub with a few nooks and crannies. Busy on a Saturday night with six handpumps all on the go, I settled for a pint of Oakham Bishops Farewell which I found in good condition. A very nice pub.

Short walk from the station, very plush inside, still traditional enough but on the posh side. Nice beers
