Strongers . left this review about Tropic
Tropic has high tables either side of the front entrance and the serving counter with standard and premium keg is found in the middle of the left-hand wall. There’s a dance floor and disco karaoke was in progress during a recent Tuesday evening visit. It wasn’t really working with only five customers, one of whom was me. The service was disinterested and the barmaid was taken aback when I asked her to top up my comedically short measured half lager. This is a weekend bar so I’m not sure why they even bother opening during the week.

Old Boots left this review about The Flying Scotsman Tap
Now the Chantry Brewery of Rotherham's brewery tap with nine hand pumps, four with Chantry's own ales, three with ciders and two guest beers. Veltins, Wards Smooth, Bitburger and UK nationals provide a mixed keg choice. It remains one big room with a big screen and piped music. Furnished mainly with a mix of high and normal height tables with a couple of leather sofas in one window. I did find the place uncomfortably hot on a mild Saturday in March. Decor on the stairs to the upstairs toilets is train related plus a Flying Scotsman, that's a train not a kilted bloke, is painted on one wall of the bar otherwise it's not mentioned. Doncaster was home to the railway works that built the famous locomotive.
