Strongers . left this review about The Path Tavern
The date above the door of the Path Tavern states that it was established in 1750, but I think it has changed somewhat since then as it now looks like a terraced 20th century pub with accommodation above. The interior is more interesting with a blue floral carpet and a large serving counter that cuts diagonally across the left rear corner. The back bar is very well stocked, and I noted an old water tap is retained on the counter. Banquettes run under the front windows either side of the central entrance that has the pub’s name mosaiced into the floor, much like lots of other pubs in this area. The walls are busy with framed photos, art and cartoons and the ceiling beams are covered with old and foreign currency. The television was airing muted terrestrial news and the jukebox stood silent, but there was some atmosphere generated by the handful of locals present during my recent early midweek evening visit. I didn’t venture into the rear, but I think the food menu was too large for there not to be a dining area. I found the service to be friendly, so I’d pop back in for a lager if passing.
