Alfie’s is a friendly bar with two pool tables that take centre stage in the middle of the room where they’re faced by a serving counter up the right where standard keg products are available. High tables and some armchairs run up the left-hand wall to a piano that sits against the rear wall. Above the bar along the right-hand wall is some seating on a mezzanine that is reached by a flight of stairs the climb up the front wall. The upbeat music sat well with the twenty-something crowd, but there was also an old gent in here who didn’t look out of place. As bars go, I liked this place and would pop back in for another pint if passing.
