No cask. Just a basic keg offering of Moretti, Inch's cider, SB original and dark fruits, Guinness, Cruz, Coors and John Smiths.
Pretty basic estate pub. Concreted patio area at side of pub with some old-style picnic benches. Long rectangular bar, carpeted throughout apart from a lino skirt around the pine wood bar counter with bar counter in right hand corner immediately inside the front floor. The few punters that were in here on my visit were on the tall stools at the bar counter. Well-worn UVC banquette down the left-hand side of the pub with regular tables and chairs along its length. The area over in the back right corner was up a step and had a dark wood railing around it with the area containing a few regular tables and chairs. TV's dotted around the walls were showing the snooker and there was a wall mounted jukebox. An old fruit machine languished against the wall between the bar counter and the raised area. An Uber driver, later in day, when asked as to his view of the roughest pub in Cardiff nominated this place. I thought it was positively upmarket compared to the Master Gunner in Gabalfa visited on my late January trek here this year!
