Sole cask offering of Hobgoblin’s Gold, and delicious it was! Keg offering of Carling, Carlsberg, SB original and dark fruits, Brixton Reliance Pale Ale, John Smiths, Peroni, Stella, Moretti and Guinness.
Cracking pub. Sort of island bar, with lounge round the back accessed either from a door at the back of the seating area to the left of the entrance or by walking round the back of the other side of the L shaped bar counter. There was a small serving area in the lounge, but the main part of the bar counter is in the front public bar. Mixture of parquet, original stone floor and carpeted. Stage area on right hand side inside front door, and they have regular live bands. Seating in the various nooks and crannies comprised of regular tables, tall tables, and banquettes. Lots of screens showing live sport. There is a patio out the back and ample car parking at the rear of the pub. The pub was heaving on my Saturday evening visit to see a very good local band that does mainly 60/70/80's covers called the Jedi's.
