Cask offering was Brains Best Bitter and Rev James. Keg was Brains Barry Island Pale Ale, a cider selection of Inch’s, Berries and Cherries from Old Mount and Orchard Thieves, then Guinness, Peroni, Carling & Cruz.

Large pub insanely busy on our Saturday lunchtime visit. Bar counter opposite entrance with tiled floor by counter but otherwise boarded throughout. Nice roaring fire in back area with tables dotted around. Dining area over on right-hand side of venue but not used on our visit. The left-hand side of the venue had loads of tables set and used by diners apart from very end which was set up a bit like a Santa’s grotto with a Chesterfield sofa. Conservatory at front. Front is well manicured with some picnic benches.
