No cask. Keg beers were San Miguel, Amstel, Orchard Thieves cider, Madri, Moretti, Aspall cider, Neck Oil, Guinness, Rekorderlig cider.
Large Cuban themed bar. Bar counter against the left most wall from the door and has a large patterned tiled area in front thereof, otherwise bare boarded throughout. A number of cafe style stools at various points along its considerable length. A stage area opposite the entrance suggests live entertainment here but had to make do with a reggae soundtrack on my visit. Tall tables and chairs around the bar with some booth style tables dotted around the place plus plenty of regular tables. There is a shed load of ceiling fans in here, thankfully rotating as a very slow speed as the additional ventilation / temperature control not needed in Cardiff this time of the year (and generally never). The ceiling adornment completed by several disco balls. The area on the end opposite the main bar counter was home to Bar Havana Club that had its own bar servery, with a wooden frontage and tall stools around it and not really separated in that there is just a small glass partition in the middle with walk through bits either end. Some seating out the front of the venue also. Super quiet on my late afternoon visit.

Located on a busy pedestrianised side street, just off Queen Street, this is a Cuban themed bar specialising in rum. A large single room layout with the bar down the left hand side, gave the impression of a restaurant, but looking around, most people were enjoying a few drinks on our early Friday evening visit. The room has an attractive tiled floor and large front windows which allow plenty of light in. It goes without saying that there is all manner of Cuban related stuff on the walls including a massive map of the island and of course the obligatory Che Guevara poster. The seating is quite well arranged with comfy, lounge style options under the front windows, high tables and stools around the bar and mid-section of the room and standard dining tables elsewhere for people to enjoy bites from the Cuban themed tapas style menu. Some live music struck up around the time we were polishing off our drinks, ramping up the Latin American feel of things.
No surprises to find there was no cask ale available, but a fairly extensive keg range included Brahma and a few other rarely seen world lagers. Rum is the main drink of choice here and connoisseurs will be spoilt for choice when picking from an eclectic list from around the world. Like the heathens we are, we bought shots of Sailor Jerry, necked them and left.
Not really my sort of bar, but I thought this was quite a pleasant bar and not a bad concept. The place seems a lot classier than many of the other city centre bars and would no doubt make a good venue for a night out with a larger group.
