An odd pub, perhaps appropriately, being put together from two or more different sized buildings on a back street just outside the town centre. Considering how other pubs nearby have struggled (see Sawyers Arms and Union Tavern), this one seems to be doing all right, with what appears to be a dedicated crowd of regulars. I caught the barman on a fag break, but he was quick to pull me a half when someone called him back in. There was Bowness Bay Swallow Gold and Corby Blonde, neither of them beers I would have considered if there'd been anything else on offer, but the one I had was in good condition.

Stayed at a local guest house from the 29th October till the 2nd November, walked into The Oddfellows Arms on the first day. Never been made so welcome in a pub before. Alan,Elaine & Paul were brilliant hosts so much so my partner ended up in the darts team & I played fives & threes dominoes. Besides that the John Smiths bitter was marvellous, we are going back to Kendal in the new year & will certainly be returning to the Oddfellows for a few beers!
