Reopened under new management, with a couple of hand pumps and a loyalty card - buy five, get one free, which is a very good offer. A pity that they didn't spend some money on a tin of brass polish. I almost walked out, but I thought I'd just try a half, even though it was only Wadworth Horizon, but it was very good (NBSS 3.5). I like a pub that makes an effort, but this one is half-hearted at best.

A good pub but not the best in Conwy (that'll be The Albion). Has a thin bar room to the left which leads to a beer garden out back. You can also reach the beer garden via a passageway at the front. Real ale is available.

UPDATE This continues as the best pub in Conwy with a friendly atmosphere and good food and drink. Becomes very much a regulars pub in the evenings.
