My daughter, who moved to this area last year, gallantly accompanied me in my pub research visit to this grey-painted village pub. We spotted the Greene King IPA on one of the two hand pumps and she took an unwary glug of her half and pulled a face: pure vinegar. Unfortunately I had asked for a pint myself, so when the beers were readily changed I ended up with a pint of John Smiths Smooth Crap, which is something I am fairly sure has never happened to me before.
