Round the back of the Haven restaurant. Go up some trad carpeted stairs to an unusual place, the bar is on an upper level with a larger lower seating area. Loads of paraphernalia, from a stuffed albatross to a jumbo Ansells door lamp. The bar was closed but a kind worker unloading his vintage 80’s motor offered to serve us a pint anyway if we helped carry his dry cleaning up the stairs! One cask, Double Dragon, which was surprisingly good given the circumstances (NBSS 3), We were ushered outside to the suntrap garden overlooking the bay which was rather nice. A strange one but circumstances were on my side and for that I score well
