Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The King's Ford (JD Wetherspoon)
Typical North London 'spoons, housed in a relatively narrow but quite deep shop conversion. Dark inside too away from the full-height front windows, but thankfully these were fully open for a bit of breeze on a scorching hot summer day. I found Ruddles, Doom Bar and Abbot plus Nottingham Legend (£1.99), Bowman Quiver and Burton Bridge Top Dog stout as guests, together with Old Rosie cider, from a total of ten handpumps.

Update 27/10/2012
They have added four more pumps along the side of the bar so there are now a more standard 10 handpumps. The four new ones have the usual suspects leaving the old bank of six exclusively for guest beers and ciders. The Festival Steenbrugge Blonde was in fine form during the week, and a bargain at £1.99.
I've been going to the Ford more or less since it opened back in the 90s. You can see from the picture that it's not the most attractive building spoons have selected, I believe it was a furniture shop originally.
It only has six pumps, but they do not do what many other spoons do, stick a clip on an unused pump to advertise a boxed cider held in one of the fridges.
All six punps were going last Saturday with GK Ruddles and Abbot plus four guests. These were Mauldon's Blackadder, Milk Street Beer, Brentwood Porter and a 4% ish one that I can't recall. The three stronger guests were priced at £2.25, thirty pence less than the Last Post about 5 or 6 miles away, and the weaker guest at £2.10.
The Milk Street and Brentwood were both in good nick, although I didn't take to the Milk Street as it had a smoked flavour presumably what is referred to as "musky" in the tasting notes. Fish and bacon should be smoked not beer!!
There only seemed to be two staff on, one serving and the other collecting glasses and clearing tables. I would say this is certainly not adequate.
Unusually this pub has an upstairs cellar which means that when beer is being delivered or barrels moved around it sounds like there's some sort of riot going on. I would say that some ninety percent or more of the times I have visited the beer has been good. Because of the limited 6 pumps lack of choice can be more of a problem.

A run of the mill Wetherspoons with a typically uninteresting shoe box of an interior, although it is larger and a bit more spacious than it initially looks from the outside. The usual ‘Spoons food and drink offerings with 6 ales including 2, sometimes 3, guest beers that you can expect to be of decent quality given that this is apparently one of the few pubs in the country that have scored 100% in their Cask Marque accreditation although, to be honest, ‘Spoons ales are generally of such good quality only a seasoned expert would notice. The bar service can be a bit slow at times and it does get quite busy on the curry / grill nights. I haven’t encountered any major problems with the customer base beyond the usual ‘spoons inhabitants.
Boxing fans may notice the wall display for Derek Lloyd, a local lad who became British Flyweight Champion in the late 50’s / early 60’s and was known as the Punching Postman. Derek is a regular in the pub and don’t be surprised if he introduces himself to you if he catches you reading his story – he is quite a character.
There is a small pavement patio at the front to accommodate the smokers and al fresco drinkers /diners and a couple of subtitled plasma screens inside usually tuned to Sky Sports News but overall there is not a lot that gives the place any character or sets it apart. In short, this is a pretty average ‘Spoons that is more likely to attract people given the lack of any decent competition more than anything it does itself.
