Quite a nice middle class place, horseshoe-shaped with red and magnolia walls with a dining area to the rear. Two ales, Doom Bar and a rather good St Austell Ruck n’ Roll. Dog-friendly. Named after the Duke of Wellington, inevitably. Apparently there’s an old ice cream van in the garden, though it was too dark to go exploring. Pub was entirely closed on a previous Saturday afternoon for a private party - so phone ahead.
