Set back from the pavement, this is a little bar in a row of terrace buildings in an area otherwise light on pubs. Interior is a long narrow room with a slight kink third of the way down. Bar to right on entry. Sofa-style banquette seating to left with some very low soft furnishings and tables further on. To the right of this are a few token tables set for food. Beyond this is a divider screening a pool table. Dark inside with some red strip lighting. Decked to front with jumbrellas. Naff chart music off a TV channel, the jukey seemingly out of use. Two ales at the bar, Doom Bar and Marstons New World (not so bad). WiFi and sports TV advertised. More swearing here than a Tourettes convention with a couple of characters who were bordering on the aggressive. Used to be a bit of a student bar back in the day but this seems to have changed.

Student bar (located slap-bang in middle of the off-campus housing ghetto) with a smattering of menacing-looking locals. No real ale.
