A revisit found a large change from previous. We entered to find a seat for the European Cup final after deciding that the Crickets was just too rammed and this place delivered - it was deserted, bar two local weirdos who we had the unfortunate experience of sitting next to (the mad woman complained loudly that I was blocking the through route to the bar despite there being enough room for Vanessa Feltz to get past). Two ales on - Directors and Altons Pride. The Pride was quite tired but the Directors spot-on. Two TVs with the football on though both were useless - one had incorrect aspect ratios and the other had some sort of weird goldfish bowl warping effect round the edges. I can see why all the locals weren't in here. Still, it meant instant service at the bar.

Decent enough, OK pint of something-or-other (probably Pride?). Quiz machine, darts and food available. Only popped in for a quick one but didn't find much to get excited about first time round, didn't seem to have much character (outside excepted), but it had plenty of punters in, so must be fairly popular locally. (5)
