Visited on Tuesday evening. 5 hand pulls at the bar - can't remember the full line-up but it included TT Landlord, Wye Valley HPA and Ossett White Rat. Nothing mega exciting but the White Rat was decent. Fairly busy around 6pm - I just managed to get a seat. Dog friendly and there were a couple in, along with the landlady's, at the time of my visit.
Not sure if the pub is card only but everyone seemed to be paying by card and they presented the card machine without asking, so worth checking first if you're a "cash only" kind of person.
I later noticed two unclipped hand pulls at the end of the side bar - perhaps these are a carry over from when the pub would have been split into separate rooms.
Pleasant pub, nice atmosphere, worth calling in if only once.

A pleasant pub that's quite smart inside. It looks like it was possibly 3 rooms at some stage but is now opened out into one with 3 distinct areas. A comfortable little area to the left of the bar, a bigger lounge-like area where the bar is and a small darts room to the rear. 7 handpumps on the bar but only 5 in use. Landlord, Cumberland, Smiths Cask, Old Speckled Hen and Wainwrights being the selection. A beer garden is to the rear and some tables are outside at the front. Quiet and friendly this afternoon.

The Military Arms is a medium sized pub on a busy main road just off the town centre.
Once inside here the pub had been opened out into one room that was very smart and comfortable, this pub was a Greenalls tied house and there were three real ales on the bar and two of these were guest beers and i had a drink of Taylor Landlord which was very nice the other beers were Flowers IPA and Greenalls bitter.
This was a very nice pub to have a few drinks in.
