Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Rose and Crown
Upmarket country dining pub given a smart semi-modern refurbishment across all seating and dining areas and also out in the part-patio / part-grassed beer garden. Two handpumps on the counter, offering Doom Bar and Wye Valley HPA (£5.20).

This is a dteached pub and eatery (steakhouse and grill), which has a patio, beer garden and a kids' play area. The pub is a mid-ish 20th cent rebuild of a smaller pub of the same name that now appears to lie under the car park. The pub is in white, and is a winged corridor type, with conservatory and other low-level extensions. The interior is now an irregular open plan space, with a raised area. The decor is a mix of grey, pale green and garish pink. There is a fireplace, with burner fire. The seating is a mix; from bench to sofa, some with patterned cushions. The walls have mirrors and strange cow pictures on them. A wine display adds to the generic look. The TV wasn't on and the music was pop-ish but at a decent level. The service was fine and the clientele was mixed, but small at my early visit. Beer; usual tap stuff with Peroni and Hoegaarden. On handpull there were GK IPA and Hobgoblin, which was a bit cold. Not really my cup of tea, but fine for those that like the 'front room' look.

This pub is now once again under new management. All it needs is consistency and this could be a fantastic pub.
Now serving a carvery every sunday, so good you need to dine early as it gets busier every week and they have been known to run out of food.....not good in one way but the proof is in the eating and it's better to run out than have no customers.
Car Boot Sales every Saturday and Sunday staring at 12 midday.
classic cars and american car clubs all meet here regularly as there is a field suitable for outside functions, biker friendly and been the host for several years to Ryans Ride a charity bike ride raising money for children with cancer. Well worth a look.
